Hard experience often has shown that reverse culture shock is greater than culture shock. Why? Because missionaries who enter a new field prepare properly. But when they return, they think they already know all about moving “home.” In fact, much has changed at home. The missionaries themselves have changed. And to their children it may not be “home” at all. InterMission helps to prepare for re-entry and to adjust after re-entry.
